Maddie & Chris - Intimate Backyard Wedding

Maddie & Chris booked me WAY back in 2019 for their wedding in 2020 but like many couples they made the difficult decision to postpone til the next summer until they decided they couldn’t wait another day to be married and decided to have an intimate ceremony at Chris’ father’s property with only 10 people total in attendance, myself included!

I was crossing my fingers and toes that Mother Nature would be kind and give them some beautiful weather, and the clouds were very beautiful but unfortunately it was windy and cold. It was so windy that prior to the ceremony Chris & his best man Kiefer were out there trying to hold and nail everything down so the wind wouldn’t blow it all away!

But as soon as they started saying their vows the sun came out and the wind stopped, it was incredible. There was so much laughter, joy, and love embedded into the ceremony, from the way Chris nearly fainted when he saw how gorgeous Maddie looked to the vows they wrote for each other.

Almost immediately after the ceremony the wind started back up, typical lol. Maddie was such a trooper to stand out in the cold for so long in her wedding dress! Despite the cold it was such a beautiful day, watching these two get married and seeing how happy they & their families are was so very special to me!
