Meet Aliesha

— the face behind pine & peak

HEY!

I'm Aliesha, the face behind Pine & Peak! I live in Red Deer, Alberta where I was born and raised. I live in a fur and love filled house with my husband, our beautiful daughter, and our two dogs + cat.

I've been described as charmingly awkward (by my mom, so you know it’s true) and I’m an introvert at heart and grew up very shy but photography has helped me open up and now I actually enjoy getting to know new people and feel so lucky to get to photograph a sliver of their lives!

I like to think I’m pretty easy going, I use way too many exclamation marks in my emails, and I probably try too hard to make people laugh. I love hiking and being outdoors but I also spend a lot of time watching movies/tv (especially while I edit) and playing video games. I have an obsession with Lord of the Rings but Harry Potter is a close second.

My favourite thing to photograph is JOY, the joy of being in love, the joy of a new baby, the joy of spending time with family. Laughter, big goofy grins, happy tears. The fact that I get to not only be part of that joy but capture it?! That’s something I’ll never take for granted!
